Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) West: Powering a Sustainable Future

I had the honor of delivering the welcome address at AEE West in Bellevue this week (5/1/2024)! The energy and enthusiasm for a sustainable future were truly inspiring. As Deputy Mayor, I highlighted Bellevue's commitment to reaching 100% renewable energy use by 2050 and our collaboration with partners like Puget Sound Energy through the Eastside Climate Partnership. This initiative has seen great success with programs that help businesses and residents transition to electric vehicles and improve energy efficiency. The conference reinforced the importance of collaboration in achieving our climate goals, and I look forward to continuing to work with AEE West and other partners to build a cleaner future for our region.
